Khimsar Fort

The Khimsar Fort is located at Khimsar, place 90 kilometres from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. It was built by Rao Karamsji, the 8th son of the author of Jodhpur Rao Jodha and is supposed to be one of the superb private residences across the globe. It is set amidst sand dunes bordering the parched Thar Desert. The fort stands like a fairy-tale castle - ordained with grassy turfs under the blue sky (starry nights) in the land of sand.

The palace hosts 64 rooms. All the rooms are upgraded with air conditioners and other modern amenities. It is also the abode of the royal family till the present times.

It has a perfect combination of both western and eastern inspirations.
