Bhavani Island
Bhavani Island is located on the Krishna River at Vijayawada. The island is ideal to relax and unwind. Undavalli Caves

These were originally the Jain caves but were later transformed into a Hindu temple. Undavalli Caves are the earliest examples of Gupta architecture. It features three levels. While the ground level looks like a Jain abode, the second level has a statue of reclining unidentified God and the top level flaunts beautiful views of lush green surroundings.

Kanaka Durga Temple
This shrine is dedicated to the Goddess Durga. Its amazing architecture is built in Dravidian style and it is nestling with the flourishing hills of Inrakeeladri. Many sacred texts and Vedic literature have mentioned about this temple which add to its historical importance. The temple has timings for darshan and it also has a food donation program. The temple is one of the many Shaktipeethas.

Kondapalli Fort
This 14th-century fort is in the Kondapalli village. People visit here to enjoy day picnic amidst its breathtaking vistas. It was raised by the Musunuri Nayaks in a beautiful architectural style. Its interiors feature a reservoir, Golconda Darwaza, Dargah of Gareeb Saheeb, etc. Kondapalli Toys are very popular around the fort and one can see vendors selling them. This form of craft represents the 400-year-old tradition of the region.

Mogalarajapuram Caves
These ancient caves date back to 5th century. This is a famous landmark place in Vijayawada and is mostly in ruins today. These caves have both religious and spiritual values as here you can see idols of Lord Nataraja and Lord Vinayaka.
