Dharamshala

Dharamshala is located in the mystic hills of the Kangra district. The hill station is all about charming natural beauty and a beautiful blend of Tibetan, British and Himanchali cultures. Dharamshala has been categorized into Upper and Lower Dharamshala. The upper part of the hill station, referred as McLeodganj, is dotted with splendid Buddhist hermitages being home to the Dalai Lama. Dharamshala Cricket Stadium
This remains one of the highest sports grounds on the planet standing at a height of 1,457 meters above sea level. The stadium enjoys beautiful views of nature all around and has a cool ambience caressing your soul. Here you can experience fresh mountain breeze while watching a match of cricket.

St. John in the Wilderness Church
This neo-gothic church was raised in 1852. It is found on the way to Mcleodganj. The church was raised in 1852 and is dedicated to John the Baptist and remains the oldest structure of Dharamsala. Its Gothic architectural style of architecture and Belgian stained-glass windows catch the attention of travellers from far.

Dal Lake
This is a picturesque lake surrounded by lush green Deodar forests. It is 2 kilometres away from the main McLeodganj Market. Numerous trekkers visit here as it acts as a base camp for many trekking tours. The lake also has a temple of Lord Shiva on its banks where pilgrims flock to worship the deity.

Kangra Fort
This majestic looking fort has an impressive architecture. It belongs to 4th Century B.C when it was raised by the royal family of Kangra. This remains the biggest fort adding more beauty to the Himalayas. The fort houses many temples of historical significance. From here you can also capture fascinating views of the Manjhi and Banganga rivers.

Namgyal Monastery
Tsuglag Khang Complex and Namgyal Monastery are rightly called home of the Dalai Lama. This is the most prominent and the largest Tibetan temple outside Tibet. The monastery hosts numerous religious affairs and pilgrims can be seen performing prayer ceremonies here. The Monastery has a serene ambience which binds every visitor.
