Attractions

The major attraction of the wildlife sanctuary is of course its wild inhabitants. The park is home to numerous carnivores including Leopard, Wild Dog, Jungle Cat, Hyena, Jackal, and Tiger. These carnivores feed on an abundance of prey species such as Sambar, Chitel, Nilgai, Chausingha, Wild Boar and Langur.
The national park is also famous for its huge population of Rhesus Monkeys, found in large numbers around Talvriksh.
Another major attraction of the park is the avian world. The rich and varied wildlife of the park includes Peafowl, Grey Partridge, Bush Quail, Sand Grouse, Tree Pie, Golden backed Wood Pecker, Crested Serpent Eagle and the Great Indian Horned Owl.

Another beautiful attraction around the Park is the Sariska Palace. The Palace is a beautiful blend of regal and French architecture. Wildlife safaris and sightseeing excursion are possible when you stay in this resort since it is very close to the forests and ancient temples around.

Kankwari Fort is one of the major attractions inside the national park. Lying in the cushion region of the national park, the fort is lesser known but still holds a unique centrality. The fort is flanked with hillocks secured with lavish manors and sprawling green glades that add to the magnificence of the generally destroyed fortification.

Best time to visit Sariska National Park
Tourists can explore wildlife from sunrise to sunset. Sariska Tiger Reserve remains open form 1st October to 30th June for all seven days of the week. The park remains close for three months during Monsoon (Rainy season) from 1st July to 30th September.

How to reach
By Air - Jaipur is the nearest airport from Sariska. Delhi is also another nearest airport, which is well connected to all the major cities, including Mumbai, Jaipur and Jodhpur.

By Train - The nearest railway station is Alwar, which is 37 kms from Sariska.

By Road - Rajasthan Roadways run very comfortable deluxe buses from Jaipur. Regular services link Alwar with key destinations in and not far off Rajasthan and Delhi.
